| Users review: What is most fascinating about this film is that its more brusque rom-com from the female point of view. Knowing that the film was written by a woman, before looking at my shades made me jump. For those shades and perspective that makes the film enjoyable. No scene or moment is worth more than a minor chuckle, but the characters themselves to expand and grow as the story unfolds. It's hard to care leads to the top, because there is no actual set or unit character. Then they kind of grow on you, even if it really is actually for me in every sense of the real world. Natalie Portman is great as many would have expected, but Ashton Kutcher has done a good job, too. Ive seen some criticism of his performance, but I think that is based on the pre-determined hatred of him, instead of his job. Supporting characters were very weak and ineffective, except for the character played by Kevin Kline wonderful father. Overall, better than I expected to be. |
